Doris
Irene Stratton, 97, of Rockford, died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13,
2000, at Courtyard Terrace Nursing Home in Rockford.
Funeral
services will be Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 1:30 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with Paul Cox officiating.
Burial
will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.
Visitation
will be one hour before the services on Wednesday at the funeral
home.
Mrs.
Stratton was a homemaker.
She
was born Nov. 15, 1902, at Mount Pulaski, to John and Grace (Barlow)
McDonald. She married Henry Stratton on Nov. 17, 1920. He died Feb.
13, 1991.
Surviving
are one son, Lewis Stratton of Chillicothe; one daughter, Carol Jean
French of Cherry Valley; four grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; and one sister, Esther Beidler of Mount
Pulaski.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five sisters.
She
was a member of Elm Street Christian Church in Springfield.
