JOE & MAXINE SEGGELKE

Joe and Maxine Seggelke of Lincoln will be celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary April 7. They were married at Lincoln Christian Church by Earl C Hargrove. Their attendants were Joe’s brother, Harold Seggelke, and Marilyn Swearingen (Geske), a friend.

They are the parents of Bonnie Klockenga of Dix and Tom, Ed and Mark, all of Lincoln. They have 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with anticipation of a great-grandson in May.

 

 

The Seggelkes have enjoyed being in the ministry, missionaries in Korea and working in the printing ministry at Lincoln Christian College for 27 years. They are currently semi-retired, working for their son Tom at Key Printing.

GREYSON FISHER DOSCOTCH, son of Shawn and Chris Doscotch of Lincoln, was born Monday, April 10, 2000, at ALMH. He weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces. His maternal grandparents are Arlene Zedric of Cuba, Ill., and the late Leon Zedric. Grayson’s paternal grandparents are Linda Doscotch and Russel Doscotch of Watersmeet, Mich. Eleanor Doscotch is his great-grandmother. The baby’s middle name is in memory of Leon Zedric.


MERRITT DAVID STEFFENS, son of Kathy and Darrell Steffens of Lincoln, was born at ALMH Friday, April 7, 2000. He weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces. He is a brother to Katlyn, 2. His maternal grandparents are Eunice and David Klockenga of Lincoln. Doris Steffens of Lincoln is his paternal grandmother. Great-grandparents are Virginia Klockenga and Dorothy Wall. Merritt shares his name with his maternal grandfather, the late Merritt E. Steffens. He shares his middle name with his maternal grandfather, David Klockenga, and with David Steffens, his uncle.


KELSEY JOELLE RUSSELL, daughter of Anita D. and Allan L. Russell of Wapella, was born at ALMH Thursday, April 6, 2000. She weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces. She is a sister to Cody, 7, and Hailey, 2. Her maternal grandparents are Karen and the late Lyle E. Swearingen Sr. of Clinton. Paternal grandparents are Jodi and Fred Head of Wapella and Terry and Debbie Russell of Bloomington. Her great-grandparents are Dorothy Swearingen, Ralph and Joyce Robbins, and Charles and the late Ina Russell. Kelsey’s middle name is from her mother’s best friend, Sara.


WYATT MICHAEL MORRIS, son of Barbara and Michael Morris of Mount Pulaski, was born Thursday, April 6, 2000, at ALMH. He weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce. He is a brother to Samantha, 3. His maternal grandparents are Eugene and Lucille Geyer of Mount Pulaski. Mary J. Etter of Williamsville is his great-grandmother.


KATHRYN CHRISTINE ELIZABETH NOBBE, daughter of Christine and Todd Nobbe of Lincoln, was born Thursday, March 30, 2000, at ALMH. Kathryn is sister to Emma, 3. Maternal grandparents are Don and Shirley Wolpert of Lincoln. Paternal grandparents are Ray and Pat Nobbe of Lincoln. Florence Funk of Lincoln, Louis Wolpert of Lincoln and Vivian Cooper-Nelson of Galesburg are great-grandparents. Kathryn’s first name is her maternal grandmother’s middle name. Her middle names are after her mother and great-grandmother.

REDDING-ROHLFS

Caroline Elizabeth Redding and Nathan John Rohlfs have announced their engagement. They plan a May 20 wedding at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hartsburg.

Caroline, daughter of Sam and Jane Redding of 326 Lincoln Ave., is a 1997 graduate of Lincoln Community High School. She is studying elementary education at Illinois State University in Normal and is scheduled to receive her bachelor of arts degree in December.

Nathan, son of Les and Cathy Rohlfs of Emden, is a 1995 graduate of Hartsburg-Emden High School. He received an associate degree in applied science from Illinois Central College in Peoria in 1997 and is employed at Rohlfs Implement in Hartsburg.
