The Festival of Trees opened
this morning at the Logan County Courthouse. Admission is free and
guests can vote on their favorite creatively decorated large & small
Christmas trees, wreaths & swags. The display is open from
8:30am to 7pm Monday-Saturday and Sundays from Noon to 6pm. |

Jones, State Farm Insurance, will sponsor two Red Cross blood drives
in December at the Lincoln Sports Complex. Those drives will be Dec.
6 and 20. The Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital will host a drive on
Dec. 13.

County receives awards for blood donations

The
American Red Cross Heart of America Blood Services Region hosted its
annual recognition event Monday, Nov. 13, in Peoria. Dean Cates of
Mount Pulaski was given special recognition for donating 25 gallons
of blood. Logan County Red Cross received two certificates and a
plaque.
