A. Johnson, 86, of Horse Shoe, N.C., formerly of Middletown and Glen
Ellyn, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, at Pardee Memorial
Hospital in Hendersonville, N.C.
His
funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at Kerrigan Funeral Home
in Lincoln, with the Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating.
Burial
will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Johnson
was employed at International Harvester in Glen Ellyn for 30 years.
He retired in 1974.
He
was born Sept. 4, 1914, in Center Point, Ky., to Samuel and Minnie
Johnson.
Surviving
are his wife of 64 years, Eileen Dorgan Johnson of Horse Shoe, N.C.;
one brother, Porter Johnson of Springfield; and one sister, Lucille
Power of Chicago.
He
was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Hendersonville, N.C.
