Nora
Mae Lockenour, 68, of Lincoln died at 6:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10,
2001, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Her
funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church in Lincoln, with Pastor Roger David officiating.
Burial
will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery.
Visitation
will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Mrs.
Lockenour was retired.
She
was born March 22, 1933, in Broadwell to Joe J. and Bernice Bruns
Lessen. She married Vernon Lockenour on Feb. 14, 1960, in
Hartsburg.
Surviving
Mrs. Lockenour are her husband, of Lincoln; two sons, David (and
Nan) Lockenour of Lincoln and Thomas (and Kris) Lockenour of
Lincoln; two granddaughters, Leah and Rachel Lockenour of Lincoln;
and three brothers, Marvin (and Andy) Lessen, Larry Joe (and Bev)
Lessen and Ben (and Charlene) Lessen, all of Lincoln.
She
was preceded in death by one brother, James Lessen.
She
was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
She
was a 1951 graduate of Lincoln Community High School.

Bidner
Earl
Randel Bidner, 92, of Lincoln died at 7:35 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 9,
2001, at the Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.
His
funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. John
United Church of Christ in Lincoln, with the Rev. Rich Reinwald
officiating.
Burial,
with military rites, will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home.
Bidner
was a grain and livestock farmer in Logan County.
He
was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He
was born March 1, 1909, in Bellflower to Elmer and Anna Randel
Bidner. He married Ruth Bloes on Jan. 21, 1950, in Lincoln. She
preceded him in death.
Surviving
are one daughter, Verdeen Ingram (and husband Larry) of Lincoln, and
two grandchildren, Shanda Ingram of Pensacola, Fla., and Orry Ingram
of Lincoln.
He
was also preceded in death by one brother, Lloyd Bidner.
He
was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and the church’s
Brotherhood. He was a former Sunday School superintendent and did
considerable missionary work for his church. He also delivered meals
for Community Action.
He
had served as chairman of the building committee for Osman Lutheran
Church in Osman and was a member of the American Legion at
Bellflower.
He
was a member of the Logan County Farm Bureau.
He
enjoyed flower arranging and was a member of the Central Illinois
Rose Society.
He
was also an avid bowler.

Loretta
Dickey
Loretta
Dickey, 52, of Lincoln died at 1:35 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, at
St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Her
funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Burial
will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg.
Visitation
will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs.
Dickey was a housewife.
She
was born Sept. 26, 1949, in Lincoln to William and Helen Clark Juhl.
She married Oscar Dickey on Sept. 4, 1972, in Lincoln. He died March
28, 1992.
Surviving
are one son, Kevin Dickey of Lincoln; two brothers, Harold Juhl of
Peoria and Alvin Juhl of Farmersville; and one sister, Janet Schafer
of Lincoln.
