Alta Marie Sapien,
71, of McLean, died at 12:57 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001 at OSF St.
Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Funeral services will
be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, McLean.
The Rev. Melvin L. Angel will officiate. Burial will follow in Funks
Grove Cemetery in rural McLean. Visitation will be one hour prior to
services at the church. Quiram Funeral Home of Atlanta is in
charge of the arrangements.
Ms. Sapien was born
March 24, 1930 at Parksville, Kentucky to Marion Estell and Alta
Pearl Southerlan Rousey.
She has five
surviving sisters: Norma Gordon of Aloha, Ore.; Lorene Collison of
Cape Coral, Fla.; Helen Hughes of Carlsbad, Calif.; Joan Reineke of
Jefferson City, Mo.; and Wanda Robinson of Lowery City, Mo. She also
has one surviving brother, Rick Rousey of St.Paul, Minn.; several
nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Joyce Ashcraft, Fairbury.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two
brothers.
Ms. Sapien was a
member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, McLean.
Memorial
contributions may be made to the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ of
McLean or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Harlen
Dean Hamil, 63, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Broadwell died
Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001.
Graveside
committal of ashes will be arranged at a later date at Union
Cemetery in Lincoln. Arrangements are being handled by Holland and
Barry of Lincoln.
He
was born June 18, 1938, in Middletown to Harlen W. and Nellie L.
Wright Hamil. Mr. Hamil is survived by his mother who resides in
Lincoln.
He
was preceded in death his father and one sister, Doris J. Bates.
