Bernard Wilson

Bernard W. Wilson, 81, of Lincoln died at 7:47 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2001, at Dr. John Warner Hospital in Clinton.

His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Edward Higgins officiating.

Burial, with military rites, will be in Keys Cemetery, Beason.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Wilson was a police officer in Montana. He also worked for Builders Supply Co. in Lincoln and the Burns Detective Agency of Bloomington.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945.

He was born May 17, 1920, in Sudoros to William and Alta Wilson. He married Martha Birkoski in Glasgow, Mont., on March 1, 1947.

Surviving Wilson are his wife, of Lincoln; one son, Bud Wilson of Lincoln; three daughters, Mary Higdon (and Terry Sablotny) of Lincoln, Sharon Reed (and Frank) of Bloomington and Kathy Cantrell (and Ron) of Mobile, Ala.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, a half brother and a half sister.

He was a member of American Legion Post 263 in Lincoln.

Frances Fait

Frances E. Fait, 95, of Lincoln died at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at the Christian Village.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Paul Gilmore officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Illiopolis.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Lincoln. Eastern Star services will be at 5 p.m.

Mrs. Fait was a retired bookkeeper for Archie Fair Refrigeration and a former schoolteacher.

She was born Jan. 13, 1906, in Lanesville to James and Cora Veatch Kinahan. She married Archibald "Archie" Fait on Nov. 30, 1929, in Danville. He died May 23, 2000.

Surviving are two nephews, Kinahan Rule of Illiopolis and Scott (and Linda) Fait of Eagle Point, Ore., and three nieces, Jean (and John) Belt of Naples, Fla., Pam (and Dick) Navarre of Grayslake and Jean Pearson of Barrington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister. She was the last of her immediate family.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln, a 75-year member of Eastern Star, Grand Lecturer of Order of the Eastern Star Emeritus, a member of Chester Women’s Club, Daughters of the Nile of Springfield and Daughters of the American Revolution.

She attended Illinois State University.

Halcyone Eimer

Halcyone Eimer, 81, of Lincoln died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2001, at her home.

Her funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 30, at Holy Family Church, with the Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kerrigan Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the rosary and wake service at 5 p.m.

Mrs. Eimer was a homemaker.

She was born June 17, 1920, in Lincoln to Adam and Ella Hartley Anderson. She married Richard Eimer on Oct. 24, 1943, in Lincoln. He survives.

Also surviving are three sons, David Eimer (and Roseann) of Bel Air, Md., Daniel Eimer of East Peoria and Dennis Eimer (and Marian) of Lincoln; three daughters, Dixie Ross (and Pete) of Lincoln, Dana Gosack (and Robert) of East Peoria and Denise Williams (and John) of Elkhart; 12 grandchildren; and five great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

She was a member of Holy Family Church and a former member of Carroll Catholic School Club. She was also a member of the VFW Dance Club in Lincoln and the former Emden Dance Club.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Visiting Nurses Association of Central Illinois Hospice.
