Bernard
W. Wilson, 81, of Lincoln died at 7:47 p.m. on Thursday, July 26,
2001, at Dr. John Warner Hospital in Clinton.
His
funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Edward Higgins officiating.
Burial,
with military rites, will be in Keys Cemetery, Beason.
Visitation
will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Wilson
was a police officer in Montana. He also worked for Builders Supply
Co. in Lincoln and the Burns Detective Agency of Bloomington.
He
served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945.
He
was born May 17, 1920, in Sudoros to William and Alta Wilson. He
married Martha Birkoski in Glasgow, Mont., on March 1, 1947.
Surviving
Wilson are his wife, of Lincoln; one son, Bud Wilson of Lincoln;
three daughters, Mary Higdon (and Terry Sablotny) of Lincoln, Sharon
Reed (and Frank) of Bloomington and Kathy Cantrell (and Ron) of
Mobile, Ala.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, a half brother and a
half sister.
He
was a member of American Legion Post 263 in Lincoln.
