Paul Williams

Paul V. Williams, 75, of Lincoln, died at 6:25 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2001, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Henry Cox officiating.

Burial, with military rites, will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the funeral home.

Williams retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. in East Peoria, where he was a vehicle instructor.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

A son of Lester Williams and Anna Gray Williams Tanksley, he was born Feb. 14, 1926, in Mound City. He married Betty Loeffler on Sept, 18, 1953, in Lincoln. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Brian Williams of Kerrville, Texas; two grandchildren, Alison and Dustin Williams, both of Kerrville, Texas, and two stepgrandchildren, Danielle Edwards of Mount Zion and Carissa Barnes of Wimberly, Texas; three half sisters, Wilma Koen, Carolyn Terrell and Charlotte Bonner, all of Mound City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two half brothers.

He was a member of Middletown Methodist Church and Lincoln American Legion.

He was an avid fisherman.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Illinois.
