Constance Buckles

Constance C. Buckles, 87, of Dawson, formerly of Mount Pulaski, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at Springfield Health Care Center.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Mount Pulaski Christian Church, with John Robertson officiating.

Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery, rural Mount Pulaski.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.

Mrs. Buckles was a homemaker.

She was born Dec. 12, 1913, in Sangamon County to James and Mary Tucker Wilkerson. She married Claude Q. Buckles in Mount Pulaski on April 1, 1934. He died Jan. 2, 1997.

Surviving are one daughter, Karen Prince of Springfield; one son, Jerry L. Buckles of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and five grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jane Ellen Buckles.

She was a member of Mount Pulaski Christian Church and the Loyal Daughters of the church.

Memorials may be made to Mount Pulaski Christian Church or to the donor’s choice.

Nola Mallekoote

Nola Faye Mallekoote, 50, of Lincoln died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at her home.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at the Church of the Nazarene, Lincoln. The Rev. Donald Schlough will officiate.

Arrangements are being handled by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

The family will meet with friends after the service.

Mrs. Mallekoote was a Technician III at Lincoln Developmental Center for 11 years.

She was born Sept. 27, 1951, in West Branch, Mich. She married Neil R. Mallekoote in Flint, Mich., on July 22, 1972.

Surviving Mrs. Mallekoote are her husband, of Lincoln; two daughters, Nena Faye Mallekoote of Urbana and Nadra (and husband Shad) Bell of Merrimack, N.H.; four brothers, Ricky Stark of Standish, Mich., Patrick Stark of Beebe, Ark., Kenneth Jones of Baraga, Mich., and Garret Jones of Westlake, Ohio; and two sisters, Kathleen Luck of Flint, Mich., and Elizabeth Jones of AuGres, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Franklin Stark and Betty Ricketts Jones.

She was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to the family.
