Dorothy Sandrolini

Dorothy M. Sandrolini, 79, of Lincoln died at 11:38 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Resurrection Lutheran Church in LaSalle, with the Rev. John Onderko officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mueller-Pagani Funeral Home in LaSalle. A prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m.

Kerrigan Funeral Home is in charge of Lincoln arrangements.

Mrs. Sandrolini was a homemaker.

She was born Dec. 15, 1921, in Peru, Ill., to George and Marie Mueller Sledgister. She married Emil Sandrolini in September 1949 in LaSalle. He died Dec. 17, 1991.

Surviving are her mother, Marie; three daughters, Ellen (wife of Kevin) Stotmeister of Oceanside, Calif., Laura Sandrolini of Lincoln and Lisa (wife of Mark) Everette of Hinsdale; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty (wife of Sam) Curatolo of Utica.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one daughter, Melanie Lavender.

She was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln and AARP.

Mass cards may be given.


Louise Zilinsky

Louise J. Zilinsky, 83, of Lincoln died at 6:27 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at Memorial Medical Center.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Holy Family Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Kerrigan Funeral Home in Lincoln. The rosary and wake service will be at noon.

Mrs. Zilinsky was a cafeteria supervisor for Cutler-Hammer Co. in Lincoln. She retired in 1983.

She was born July 3, 1918, in Lincoln to Rudolph and Rose Polsenek Sparhakel. She married William Zilinsky on Sept. 25, 1940, in Bowling Green, Mo. He died Sept. 1, 1984.

Surviving are one granddaughter, Lynn Lambros of Lincoln; one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Josephine Shoup of Lincoln.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Lambros; two brothers; and one sister.

She was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Adolph Hum

Adolph Hum, 74, of Lincoln died at 12:01 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, at Maple Ridge Health Care Centre.

He was cremated.

A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

There is no visitation.

Hum was a retired Teamster truck driver. He managed the farmers market in Lincoln.

He was born Dec. 27, 1926, in Lincoln to Adolph and Nellye Carnes Hum Sr. He married Elinor Sanders in Lincoln on Feb. 10, 1955. They were divorced.

Surviving are three daughters, Tina Huff (and Jeffrey) of Lincoln, Diana Pickett (and Phillip) of Elkhart and Vickie Hum (and Douglas Fink) of Lincoln; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Harold Hum (and Maxine) of Lincoln; and two sisters, Agnes Knollenberg of Washington and Joyce Lowery of Lincoln.

He was a Protestant.

Memorials may be made to a scholarship fund for his grandchildren.
