Kingsley
William
R. Kingsley, 71, of Lincoln died at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10,
2001, at the Christian Village Nursing Home.
His
funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Lincoln
Christian Church, with Tom Gerdts officiating.
Burial,
with military rites at the grave, will be in Hartsburg Union
Cemetery.
Visitation
will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in
Lincoln.
Kingsley
was a maintenance painter at Caterpillar for 25 years. He retired in
1991.
He
served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War.
He
was born Nov. 17, 1929, in Lincoln to Charles "Friday" and
Evelyn Sutton Kingsley. He married Elizabeth M. Aper on Dec. 13,
1953, at Hartsburg. She survives, in Lincoln.
Also
surviving are two daughters, Janice Kingsley of Reno, Nev., and
Candi (and husband Bill) Krahulik of Flower Mound, Texas; one
granddaughter, Chelsea Krahulik; one grandson, Zachary Krahulik; and
two sisters, Thelma (and Don) McAfee of Dayton, Ohio, and Joyce (and
Chuck) Koke of Springfield.
He
was a member of Lincoln Christian Church, where he served on the
church board and worked with the Harvest of Talents. He was also a
volunteer at the food pantry. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 210
and Springfield Shriners.

may be made to Harvest of Talents at Lincoln Christian Church, to
Lincoln Christian College or to Christian Village Nursing Home.
