Lois
F. Gandt, 83, of Lincoln died at 6:24 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001,
at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Her
funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Larry Maffett officiating.
Burial
will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visitation
is one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Mrs.
Gandt retired from Kroger’s in Lincoln, where she worked as a
cashier and in the dairy department. She was also employed at the
Scully estate several years.
She
was born Dec. 4, 1917, in Tremont to Henry C. and Dana Berry Dalbey.
She married Raymond E. Gandt on June 8, 1957, in Lincoln. He died
March 19, 1991.
Surviving
are one brother, Duane Dalbey of Wichita, Kan.; five sisters,
Dorothy L. Bushell and Jennie Gleason of Lincoln, Louemma Cook of
McLean, Irma Danner of Dubuque, Iowa, and Mabel Dalbey of
Schenectady, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
She
was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
She
was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lincoln.
Memorials
may be made to her church.
