Donald
F. Waddell, 80, of Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Mount Pulaski died
at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, at his home.
His
funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at St. Thomas
Aquinas Catholic Church in Mount Pulaski, with Father Patrick
Demeulemeester officiating.
Burial
will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.
Visitation
will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the church.
Waddell
was retired from farming in the Mount Pulaski area.
He
was born Feb. 13, 1921, in Mount Pulaski to Frank and Anna Sams
Waddell. He married Selma Hall on March 23, 1968, in Hot Springs,
Ark.
Surviving
are two stepsons, Donald (and wife Nancy) Hall of Hot Springs, Ark.,
and Michael (and Sara) Hall of Camden, Ark.; three stepgrandchildren;
and one sister, Betty (and Jimmy) Landers of Decatur.
He
was preceded in death by three sons and one brother.
He
was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Hot Springs, Ark.
Memorials
may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mount Pulaski.

Edgar
‘Gene’ Krause
Edgar
"Gene" E. Krause, 79, of San Jose died at 4:20 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 17, 2001, at Hopedale Hospital.
His
funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at San Jose
United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Cindy Rettig officiating.
Burial
will be in Green Hill Cemetery, San Jose.
Visitation
will be one hour before the service at the church.
Krause
was a Gerber baby food representative for 30 years. He also worked
for various wholesale companies and was a rural carrier for the
Pekin Times.
He
was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He
was born April 8, 1922, at Easton to Edgar George and Alta Furrer
Krause. He married Shirley Davis in San Jose on Oct. 19, 1946. She
survives.
Also
surviving are three daughters, Susan (and husband Norman) Thornton
of Pekin, Sally (and Homer) Fowler of Pekin and Heidi (and Rick)
Guentner; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
He
was preceded in death by one son, Kyle, and one grandchild.
