Anne
S. Frantz, 94, of Lincoln died at 12:10 a.m. Thursday, April 25,
2002, at St. Clara’s Manor.
Her
funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Quiram Funeral Home in
Atlanta. Andy Glass will officiate. Visitation will be one hour
before the service.
Burial
will be in Mountjoy Cemetery, rural Atlanta.
Mrs.
Frantz worked several years as an aide at the former Deaconess
Hospital in Lincoln. She also was a switchboard operator at the
telephone company in Atlanta and worked for some time at the Kroger
store in Atlanta.
She
was born Aug. 17, 1907, at Elkhart to Lewis and Edna Mayfield Shaw.
She married M. Dean Frantz in Lincoln on July 15, 1926. He died May
20, 1989.
Surviving
Mrs. Frantz are three daughters, Ruth (and Bob) Werschey of Decatur,
Phyllis Young of Atlanta and Betty Cox of Lincoln; one son, Roger
(and Lucille) Frantz of McLean; seven grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandsons.
She
was also preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and one
granddaughter.
She
was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and of Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
Memorials
may be made to St. Clara’s Manor in Lincoln.
