Mildred Crumpler
Mildred M. Crumpler, 85, of New Holland
died at 5:07 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at Memorial Medical
Center in Springfield.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m.
Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Her funeral, officiated by the Rev.
Doug Rettig, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist
Church of New Holland.
Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery,
San Jose.
Mrs. Crumpler was a retired teacher.
She taught 44 years at Victory, San Jose and New Holland grade
schools.
She was born Jan. 18, 1917, near Emden
in Logan County, to John W. and Hannah Manus Cross. She married
William H. Crumpler on Nov. 28, 1942, in Manhattan, Kan. He preceded
her in death.
Survivors are one son, Kim W. (and
Fran) Crumpler of Louisville, Ky., and one grandson, Ehren Crumpler
of Fort Collins, Colo.
She was also preceded in death by one
son, Thomas Durwood Crumpler.
She was a member of the United
Methodist Church of New Holland, United Methodist Women, the Know
Your Bible class, American Legion Auxiliary, Retired Teachers
Association, New Holland Women’s Club and the Girl Scout Council.
