Lester Meyer
Lester R. Meyer, 80,
of Lincoln, formerly of Ohio, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at
11:10 p.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre.
His funeral will be
at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Melcher Sowers Funeral Home in Piqua, Ohio.
Visitation will be at the funeral home in Piqua from 6 to 8 Monday
evening.
Burial will be in
Pearl Cemetery, Anna, Ohio.
Local arrangements
are being handled by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home.
Mr. Meyer managed a
processing and marketing farm cooperative for 28 years in Wooster,
Ohio. After returning to western Ohio in 1984, he worked in real
estate and owned and operated the Les Meyer Realty and Brokerage
office in Piqua.
He was a U.S. Army
veteran of World War II and served from 1942 to 1946.
He was born May 6,
1922, in Yorkshire, Ohio. He married Betty Jane Shaffer on June 31,
1943, and she died in November 1998.
Surviving are one
son, Scott Meyer of Lincoln; one daughter, Marcia Sprecher of
Hilliard, Ohio; four granddaughters, Jennifer Sprecher of
Cincinnati, Ohio, Carey Sprecher of Hilliard, Ohio, and Britne and
Kristin Meyer, both of Lincoln; and one great-grandchild.
In Ohio he was a
member of Ebenezer Masonic Lodge 33 in Wooster, Al Koran Shrine in
Cleveland, the Elks Lodge of Piqua and the Ohio Board of Realtors.
He graduated from
Versailles High School in Ohio 1939.

Keith Yeazle
Keith Allen Yeazle,
39, of Bloomington died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at 10:41 a.m. at
St. Joseph Hospital in Bloomington.
He was cremated, and
a graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at New Union Cemetery,
Lincoln. Tom Gerdts will officiate.
Visitation will be
from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home,
Lincoln.
Mr. Yeazle was a
maintenance man for an apartment complex in Bloomington.
He was born Aug. 15,
1963, in Lincoln to Kenneth Ray and Sharon Kay Badman Yeazle. He
married Lisa Robbins, and they were divorced.
Surviving are one
son, Cory Yeazle of Lincoln; one daughter, Alyssa Yeazle of Lincoln;
one sister, Juliene McFarland of Lincoln; three nieces; two nephews;
one great-nephew; and other relatives.
He was a member of
the Christian Church.
He enjoyed music and
writing songs.

Ruth
Nimke
Ruth E. Nimke, 82, of
Lincoln died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at 1:05 a.m. at Memorial
Medical Center in Springfield.
She was cremated.
A memorial service
will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Zion Lutheran Church of
Lincoln, with the Rev. Mark Carnahan and the Rev. William Adam
officiating.
Mrs. Nimke was a
former sales clerk at Woolworth's, Kmart and Wal-Mart stores in
Lincoln.
She was born Jan. 30,
1920, in Beason to Oliver C. and Veretta Hanger Kuntzi. She married
Frederic E. Nimke on Aug. 30, 1940, in Wenona. He died Oct. 17,
2001.
Surviving are two
sons, Alan Nimke of Ocala, Fla., and James (and Connie) Nimke of
Chatham; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in
death by two brothers and one sister and was the last of her
immediate family.
She was a member of
Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln.

Mabel 'Mimi' Minick
Mabel J. "Mimi"
Minick, 100, of Lincoln died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at 11:50 p.m.
at Heritage Manor in Chillicothe.
Her funeral will be
at 2 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln,
with Tom Gerdts officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the
service.
Burial will be in
Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Mrs. Minick worked 42
years at Lincoln Developmental Center.
She was born July 8,
1902, in Elizabethtown to James Walter and Lillian Hardin Hale. She
married Clarence "Mike" Minick on Sept. 16, 1921, in Lincoln. He
died June 7, 1974.
Surviving are one
son, William Hutton Minick (and wife Eleanor) of Cocoa, Fla.; one
granddaughter, Barbara Schacht of Peoria; and two nephews, James
Knecht of Normal and Richard Sielaff of Lincoln.
She was also preceded
in death by one brother, two sisters and one son, Jack Minick.
She was a member of
Lincoln Christian Church.
Memorials may be made to the church or to
Lincoln Public Library.

Gwendolyn Morris
Gwendolyn Morris, 91,
formerly of Elkhart, died at Vonderlieth Living Center, Mount
Pulaski, at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002.
Her funeral will be
at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church of Elkhart, with
Pastor Rob Hake officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the
service.
Burial will be in
Elkhart Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements
for Mrs. Morris are being handled by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader in
Mount Pulaski.
She was born Feb. 23,
1911, in Elkhart to Everett and Perle Taylor Sherbondy. She married
Arthur Lee Myers in Sherman, Texas, in 1931, and he died in 1973.
She married Cecil LeRoy Morris in Sherman, Ill., in 1981. He died in
1992.
Surviving are two
daughters, Marilyn (and Edward) Cahill of Westminster, Colo., and Jo
(and Ray) Richner of Chestnut; six grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Morris was a
member of the Elkhart United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to the church,
Vonderlieth Living Center or the donor's choice.
