Mabel Bushell
Mabel E. Bushell, 96,
of Lincoln died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service
was Tuesday morning at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lincoln, with
Father Thomas Taylor officiating.
There was no
visitation.

Funeral Home of Lincoln was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bushell was a
registered nurse. She worked at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield
and later at St. Clara’s Hospital in Lincoln. She also worked as a
private duty nurse.
She was born Feb. 5,
1906, in Lincoln to Diedrich and Dora Obcamp. She married William H.
Bushell on May 5, 1930, in Lincoln. He died June 13, 1961.
Surviving are one
son, William A. (and Flo) Bushell of Lincoln; one granddaughter,
Kelly (and Luis) Ferreira of Lincoln; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded
in death by one brother and one sister.
She graduated from
Lincoln High School and then graduated from St. John’s School of
Nursing in 1927.
Mrs. Bushell was a
member of Holy Family Church.
Memorials may be made to the church or to
Carroll Catholic School.

Erma Folkman
Erma L. Folkman, 102,
died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at 7:39 p.m. at Mason City Area Nursing
Home.
Her funeral will be
at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hurley Funeral Home, 603 E. Chestnut in Mason
City, with the Rev. Randall Paine officiating. Visitation will be
one hour before the service.
Cremation will follow
the funeral, and family graveside services will be at a later date.
Mrs. Folkman was a
homemaker.
She was born March
26, 1900, at Mason City to William and Louisa Thee Hildebrand. She
married Howard W. Folkman on Dec. 22, 1926, in Lincoln. He died
April 30, 1995.
Surviving are one
daughter, Shirley (and Kenneth) Hanover of Mason City; two
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Edna
Baker of Trenton, Mo., and Marie Parks of Lincoln.
She was also preceded
in death by one brother and two sisters.
She was a member of
Mason City Women’s Club and the United Presbyterian Church of Mason
City.

church or to Mason City Area Nursing Home.

Sibyl Elmore
Sibyl H. Elmore, 84,
of Mason City died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at 8:10 a.m. at her home.
Visitation will be at
noon Wednesday at Hurley Funeral Home, 603 E. Chestnut in Mason
City.
A graveside service,
with Nash Shawgo officiating, will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at
Mason City Cemetery.
Mrs. Elmore was a
housewife and mother.
She was born Nov. 24,
1918, in Green County, Ky., to John and Myrtle Patterson Bagby. She
married Sam Elmore on Nov. 13, 1946. He died Nov. 12, 1995.
Surviving are one
son, Sam (and Jeanie) Elmore of Haughton, La.; two brothers, Norman
Bagby of Williamsville and Howard Bagby of Mason City; and four
sisters, Montie Stufflebeam of Easton, Betty Sparks of Mason City,
Dixie Bergman of Lincoln and Pat Steveson of Mason City.
She was also preceded in death by two
brothers and two sisters.
David White
David M. White, 21,
of Clinton died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at 11:40 p.m. at 600th
Street, Mount Pulaski.
Visitation will be
from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Mount Pulaski.
His funeral will be
at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, with the Rev.
Dennis Blankenship officiating.
Burial will be in
Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.
He was a student.
He
was born July 2, 1981, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Mike White and
Colleen Anne Maier.
Surviving are his father, Mike White of Clinton; his mother, Colleen
(and Scott) McKinney of Mount Pulaski; three brothers, John R. White
of Mount Pulaski, William White of Tulsa, Okla., and Chad White of
Taylorville; one sister, Lori Webb of Mansfield, Texas; maternal
grandparents John Edward (and June) Maier of Peshitigo, Wis.; and
paternal grandparents Fred and Colleen Burrows of Hillsboro.
He
was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Anna Maier.
He
was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Decatur.
