Hahn
Mary A. Hahn, 83, of
Mount Pulaski died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at 7:32 a.m. at St.
Clara's Manor Nursing Home in Lincoln
The visitation and
funeral will be at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski, with visitation hours on Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 and
the service on Thursday morning at 10:30. The Rev. Carol Andricks
will officiate at the funeral.
Burial will be in
Mount Pulaski Cemetery.
Mrs. Hahn was a
homemaker.
She was born Jan. 30,
1919, in Chestnut to John F. and Agnes Larrison Gulso. She married
Herschel Hahn in Lincoln on Aug. 30, 1942.
Surviving are her
husband, of Mount Pulaski; three daughters, Sharon Ransdell of Witt,
Diane (and Dennis) Blaum of Mount Pulaski and Melody (and Ed)
Williams of Lincoln; two sons, Roy Hahn of Mount Pulaski and Larry
K. (and Vicki) Hahn of Mount Pulaski; nine grandchildren; 12
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in
death by a brother, a grandson and a great-granddaughter. She was
the last of her immediate family.
Mrs. Hahn was a
member of the Mount Pulaski United Methodist Church and the Royal
Neighbors. She volunteered at Vonderlieth Living Center of Mount
Pulaski and was a past volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Memorials may be made to the donor's
choice.

Sibyl Elmore
Sibyl H. Elmore, 84,
of Mason City died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at 8:10 a.m. at her home.
Visitation will be at
noon Wednesday at Hurley Funeral Home, 603 E. Chestnut in Mason
City.
A graveside service,
with Nash Shawgo officiating, will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at
Mason City Cemetery.
Mrs. Elmore was a
housewife and mother.
She was born Nov. 24,
1918, in Green County, Ky., to John and Myrtle Patterson Bagby. She
married Sam Elmore on Nov. 13, 1946. He died Nov. 12, 1995.
Surviving are one
son, Sam (and Jeanie) Elmore of Haughton, La.; two brothers, Norman
Bagby of Williamsville and Howard Bagby of Mason City; and four
sisters, Montie Stufflebeam of Easton, Betty Sparks of Mason City,
Dixie Bergman of Lincoln and Pat Steveson of Mason City.
She was also preceded in death by two
brothers and two sisters.

David Wasson
David D. Wasson, 76, of Lincoln died
Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at his home.
He will be cremated, and private family
services will be at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home of Lincoln.
Mr. Wasson was retired.
He served in the U.S. Army and Marine
Corps during World War II and the Korean War.
He was born Jan. 21, 1926, in Memphis,
Tenn., to David Ratliff and Florence McDonald Wasson. He married
Harriet Jordan on July 7, 1946, in Hollywood, Calif. She preceded
him in death.
Surviving are one son, John (and Dayna)
Wasson of Homer, Alaska; four daughters, Belinda (and Mark) Geiger
of Semi Valley, Calif., Julia Wasson of North Liberty, Iowa,
Elizabeth (and Gary) Spann of Glendale, Ariz., and Ruth (and Steve)
Mecham of Newbury Park, Calif.; 26 grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; one brother, John M. Wasson (and Barbara
Palmer) of Fredericksburg, Va.; and two sisters, Grace Cogswell of
Lincoln and Mary Jane (and Jim) Archer of Long Beach, Calif.
He was also preceded in death by two
grandsons, Stanton Miller and Jamison Smith; a brother-in-law, John
Cogswell; and a sister-in-law, Pat Wasson.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign
Wars and American Legion.
