Omer Henrichsmeyer
Omer E. Henrichsmeyer,
96, of Lincoln died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at 4:55 p.m. at St.
Clara's Manor.
His funeral will be
at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln, with Tom Gerdts officiating. Visitation will be one hour
before the service.
Burial will be in
Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.
Mr. Henrichsmeyer was
a machinist at Caterpillar Tractor Company in Peoria before his
retirement.
He was born Feb. 13,
1906, in Fayette County to Ernest William and Emma Engel
Henrichsmeyer. He married Lucille Van Hook on Oct. 9, 1930, in Mount
Pulaski. She died Feb. 13, 1992.
Surviving are one
son, George (and wife Janet) Henrichsmeyer of Lincoln; one daughter,
Edna Harmon of Lincoln; five grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded
in death by one grandson and three brothers, Elmer, Roy and Oscar
Henrichsmeyer. He was the last of his immediate family.
He was a member of
Lincoln Christian Church, a 50-year member of the Boy Scouts of
America and a 30-year member of the UAW-CIO.
Memorials may be made to St. Clara's
Manor or Wayne J. Schall Hospice.

Steven Frye
Steven K. Frye, 41,
of San Jose died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at his home.
Visitation will be
from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hurley Funeral Home, 603 E. Chestnut in
Mason City. The funeral, also at Hurley, will be at noon Saturday.
Nash Shawgo will officiate at the service.
Burial will be in
Mason City Cemetery.
Mr. Frye was a U.S.
Army veteran.
He was born April 16,
1961, in Lincoln to Bobby Lee and Betty Griffin Frye. He married
Reba Adcock on April 30, 1984, in Gallatin, Tenn. She survives.
Also surviving are
his mother, in Mason City; his father, in Franklin, Ky.; one son,
Steven Frye Jr. of San Jose; two daughters, Betty Jo and Amy Frye,
both of San Jose; one brother, Robert Frye of Mason City; and three
sisters, Sandy Robertson of Mason City, Sonya Whitfield of Hudson,
Fla., and Stacey Lane of Mason City.
He was preceded in
death by his grandparents, one nephew and an infant brother, Danny
Lee Frye.
He was a member of
the Mason City Assembly of God.
Memorial contributions to a fund for his
children may be made in care of Mason City National Bank.

Vera
Pierce
Vera M. Pierce, 97, of
Middletown died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at 3:25 a.m. at the Christian
Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will be
from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at
11 a.m. Monday at Holland and Barry, with the Rev. Dr. Johnathan
Dixon officiating.
Burial will be in
Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Middletown.
She was born Dec. 26,
1903, to Samuel "Sandy" and Anna Henry Croft. She married Harry B.
Pierce on March 1, 1929, and he died in 1968.
Surviving are four
children, Patricia Ann Wittekind of Fort Wayne, Ind., Rose Ellen
(and husband Jack) Cessna of Springfield, Linda Shaw of
Indianapolis, Ind., and James Pierce of Chicago; nine grandchildren;
and 19 great-grandchildren.
A son-in-law, James
Shaw, preceded her in death.
She had been active in
the Middletown Women's Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, 40 et 8,
West Side Club and the Helping Hands Society of Irish Grove
Presbyterian Church, of which she was a lifetime member.
She attended Illinois
State at Normal and taught at Middletown Grade School before her
marriage.
Memorials may be made to the Riverton
Methodist Church or the donor's choice.
