A
memorial service for Pauline Strampp has been scheduled for 2 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 10, at St. John United Church of Christ in Lincoln. The
Rev. Richard Reinwald will officate.
Miss
Strampp, 89, of Lincoln died at 12:35 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at
St. Clara’s Manor.
Cremation
rites were accorded and burial is in Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Holland and Barry Funeral Home of Lincoln handled local
arrangements.
Miss
Strampp devoted her life’s work to the Odd Fellows Children’s
Home in Lincoln, where she was executive secretary. She worked there
from 1938 until she retired in 1995.
She
was born Oct. 6, 1912, in Mount Pulaski to George and Anna Turk
Strampp.
She
is survived by two nephews, Tim Strampp of Hickory Hills and Joseph
Strampp of Wilmington, N.C.
She
was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, Bill and Robert Strampp.
She
was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Lincoln.
She
was a member of the Orphans Home Rebekah Lodge for over 50 years.

Shirley
J. Steffens, 59, of Atlanta, formerly of Lincoln died at 4 a.m.
Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at her home.
A
graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at New
Union Cemetery, Lincoln. The Rev. Thomas Taylor will officiate.
There
is no visitation.
Kerrigan
Funeral Home, Lincoln, is in charge of arrangements.
Miss
Steffens was a secretary-bookkeeper for Dixie Management Co.
She
was born May 5, 1942, in Lincoln to Arthur and Betty Miesner
Steffens.
Surviving
are her mother, Betty Elsas of Lincoln, one aunt and one cousin.
She
was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
She
was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln.
Memorials
may be made to American Cancer Society.
