Annie McLaughlin
Annie McLaughlin, 84, of Atlanta, died
at 10:35 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2002, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital in Lincoln.
There will be no visitation.
Private family services will be at
Atlanta Cemetery, with Andy Glass officiating.
Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta, is
handling arrangements.
Mrs. McLaughlin was a homemaker and
wonderful cook. She entered the Logan County Fair
cooking and baking competitions for over 40 years and won numerous
awards.
She was born April 16, 1918, at rural
Hartsburg to George and Bessie Gilchrist Short. She married Charles
"Jake" McLaughlin on May 20, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo. He
survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Judy
Hathhorn of Atlanta; one son, Glen (and Donna) McLaughlin of
Atlanta; and two grandchildren, Scott (and Wendy) McLaughlin of
Kenney and Lynette McLaughlin of Normal.
She was preceded in death by one
brother, Clifton.
She was an avid pinochle player and a
member of the Wednesday Night Pinochle Club. She played on Tuesday
afternoons with another group.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother,
she will be missed by all.
Memorial
contributions may be made to the Atlanta Eminence Christian Church,
Atlanta Fire Department or a charity of the donor’s
choice.

Ralph Stoll
Ralph Stoll, 88, of Lincoln died at
6:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at Vonderlieth Living Center in
Mount Pulaski.
A memorial service will be at Faith
Lutheran Church in Lincoln at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 21. The Rev.
Mark Peters will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the
service.
A graveside service will be at 4 p.m.
Friday at Laenna Cemetery.
Stoll was a retired farmer. He had also
worked as a correctional officer and as a truck driver for Lincoln
Developmental Center.
He was born Jan. 17, 1914, in Chestnut
to Fred J. and Ida V. Stoll. He married Eleanor Zerfowski on Feb. 6,
1978, in Lincoln.
Surviving Stoll are his wife, Eleanor,
of Lincoln; four daughters, Bev Ramthun of Cornland, Melody Krusz of
New York, N.Y., Lanette Munks of Bend, Ore., and Candy Stoll of
Itasca; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother,
Elkart Stoll of Kewanee; and three sisters, Bertha Moeller of Salem,
Pearl Lock of Beason and Blanche Wrage of Kenney.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran
Church of Lincoln.
Memorials may
be made to his church or Vonderlieth Living Center.
