Edna
Mae Sackman, 83, of Mason City died at 1:04 a.m. Saturday, March 2,
2002, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.
Her
funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Hurley Funeral Home in
Havana, with the Rev. Frieda Foland officiating. Visitation will be
one hour before the service.
Burial
will be in Summum Cemetery, Summum.
Mrs.
Sackman was a dietitian at the hospital in Havana.

Davis
Frances
F. Davis, 82, of Moweaqua, formerly of Mount Pulaski, died at 11
p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Her
funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with Pastor Don Horath officiating.
Visitation will be one hour before the service, at the funeral home.
Burial
will be in Lake Bank Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.
Mrs.
Davis was owner and operator of Davis Janitor Service.
She
was born June 11, 1919, in Mount Pulaski to Thomas and Mabel Roberts
Howe. She married Earl Edwards in Palmyra, Mo., in 1939. Later she
married Charles L. Davis, on Jan. 23, 1956, in Decatur.
Surviving
are her husband, Charles Davis of Moweaqua; two sons, Thomas W.
Davis of Moweaqua and Eugene R. (and Pam) Davis of Decatur; two
daughters, Joyce Ann Ellison of Decatur and Earlene Kay Sarver of
Venice, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one
sister, Virgie Deavers of North Carolina.
She
was preceded in death by an infant brother.
She
was a member of Hillside Bethel Tabernacle in Decatur.
Memorials

Paul
McCray, 68, of Lincoln died at 12:37 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2002, at
Abraham
Lincoln
Memorial Hospital.
Visitation
will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Kerrigan Funeral Home
in Lincoln.
His
funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kerrigan, with the
Rev. Clyde Shreve officiating.
Cremation
will follow the funeral.
McCray
was a retired truck driver. He had also worked in construction for
the state of Illinois.
He
was born Dec. 13, 1933, in Lincoln to Walter and Flossie Russell
McCray. He married Lucia Compton on June 22, 1961, in Wapella.
Surviving
are one son, Kevin McCray of Robinson; one daughter, Kathy Lercher
of Lincoln; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three
brothers, LeRoy and Kenneth McCray of Lincoln and Harold McCray of
Canyon Lake, Texas; and two sisters, Norma Anderson of Lincoln and
Betty Heckler of Riverton.
He
was preceded in death by one daughter and one brother.
He
was a member of the Teamsters and the American Motorcycle
Association.
