Doris Petit
Doris J. Petit, 71,
died at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2002, at America House in Culpeper,
Va.
A graveside service
will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 26, at Mason City Cemetery. Father
David Taylor will officiate.
She was born Oct. 29,
1930, in Beatrice, Neb., to Martin and Emma Buss Frerichs.
Surviving are her
husband, Jack Petit; three sons, Theodore (and Julie) Schmidt of
Ypsilanti, Mich., Robert (and Evie) Schmidt of Los Angeles, Calif.,
and David (and Darcy) Schmidt of Hoffman Estates; two daughters,
Carol (and Donald) Brown of Lumberton, N.C., and Janet (and Jay)
Walton of Asheville, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and one sister, Emma
Johnson of De Witt, Neb.
She was a member of
St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Culpeper, Va., and was pianist and
choir director at the church. She volunteered at Culpeper Regional
Hospital.
Memorials may be made to the hospital
or to her church.

Kendall Wiggers
Kendall A. Wiggers, 72, of Beason died at 12:35 p.m. Thursday, May
23, 2002, at his home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 27, at Immanuel
Lutheran Church of Lincoln.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the
Rev. Dan Wissman officiating.
Burial, with military rites, will be in Keys Cemetery near Beason.
Holland and Barry Funeral Home of Lincoln is in charge of
arrangements.
Wiggers was a grain and livestock farmer.
He
was born Dec. 29, 1929, at Burton View to Frederick and Wilhelmina
Englehorn Wiggers. He married Darlene Aper on June 11, 1960, at St.
John’s Lutheran Church of Hartsburg.
Surviving Wiggers are his wife, of Beason; two sons, K. Alan (and
wife Christine) Wiggers of Nashville, Ill., and Kurt A. Wiggers of
Vaughan, Mont.; one daughter, Kimberly A. (and husband Bill) Beavers
of Lincoln; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin (and wife Ruth)
Wiggers of Lincoln and Milton (and wife Pat) Wiggers of Springfield;
and two sisters, Katherina "Kak" (and husband John) Goldhammer of
Lincoln and Thelma (and husband John) Matson of Lincoln.
He
was preceded in death by one brother, Frederick S. Wiggers, and two
sisters, Eileen Wiggers and Mildred Johnson.
He
was a member of VFW, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans,
National Atomic Radiation Survivors and National Association of
Atomic Veterans.

of Central Illinois Hospice Care, 720 N. Bond St., Springfield,
