Andrew Straumann

Andrew A. "Andy" Straumann, 72, of Lincoln died at 2:38 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation was Monday evening at First Christian Church of Mount Pulaski.

His funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with John Robertson officiating.

Burial is in Steenbergen Cemetery, rural Mount Pulaski.

Mr. Straumann retired as chief of maintenance at Myers Industries, and he worked at Rich Edwards Marathon in Mount Pulaski.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force.

He was born April 9, 1930, in Bruce, Wis., to Alfred and Bernice Straumann. He married Pat Pippin on April 26, 1974, in Mount Pulaski. She survives.

Other survivors are several cousins in the Minneapolis area.

He was the last of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Mount Pulaski, where he was a deacon and elder. He taught a church class once a month at Vonderlieth Living Center. He was also a member of Mount Pulaski Masonic Lodge 87.

He was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying. He also enjoyed bird watching and motorcycles.

Catherine Perry

Catherine H. Perry, 97, of Lincoln died at 1 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Maple Ridge Care Centre.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church on Tuesday at 2 p.m., with Father Robert Hoffmann officiating.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.

Kerrigan-Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements. There is no visitation.

She was born Sept. 19, 1905, in Lincoln to Patrick and Catherine McCabe Hickey. She married Wayne Perry on April 28, 1935. He died Aug. 8, 1967.

Survivors include two nieces and two nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and one nephew.

Mrs. Perry was a member of Holy Family Church.

Memorials may be made to Kraus Home.
