Daniel Tibbs
Daniel R. Tibbs, 49, of Lincoln died at
6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
There will be no visitation or
services. Mr. Tibbs will be cremated. Arrangements are being handled
by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Mr. Tibbs was a forklift operator.
He served in the U.S. Army during the
Vietnam War.
He was born Aug. 2, 1953, in Lincoln to
Daniel B. and Marlene Kirby Tibbs Jr. He married Karen Graber Hawk
in 1979. They were divorced.
Survivors are his mother, of Lincoln;
one daughter, Christi Poe of Lincoln; one stepdaughter, Kimberly
Tibbs of Atlanta; three granddaughters, Jade Poe of Lincoln and
Ashley Hawk and Stephanie Tibbs of Atlanta; one grandson, Cody Tibbs
of Atlanta; one brother, Scott Tibbs of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister,
Kay (and Dallas) Banister of Girard; and his companion and
caregiver, Cherokee Skelton of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his father
and grandparents.

Carl ‘Dusty’ Summers
Carl "Dusty" Summers, 77, of
Waynesville died at 1:07 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at the ASTA
Care Center of Bloomington.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday at Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at the Quiram Funeral Home. The Rev. Ed Nichols, a nephew
of Mr. Summers, will officiate.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Graveside military rites will be conducted by Waynesville American
Legion Post 1189.
Mr. Summers was employed at Caterpillar
Tractor Company in Decatur for 32 years. He retired in 1980.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War
II.
He was born Nov. 25, 1924, at Wapella
to Edward and Nellie Craft Summers. He married Mamie Baker on Jan.
14, 1945, at Waynesville. She survives.
Also surviving are three children,
Dorothy Summers of Bloomington, Steve Summers of Orlando, Fla., and
Helen (and Joe) Daugherty of Atlanta; two grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Jurgens of Wapella; and two
brothers, Roy Summers of Cloverdale, Ind., and Pete Summers of
Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by one son,
five sisters and six brothers.
He was a member of the Waynesville
American Legion and a former member of the Waynesville Fire
Department and Rescue Squad. He also was a Boy Scout leader in
Waynesville for many years.
Memorial

Nancy Wolcott
Nancy Lorene Wolcott, 72, of Lincoln
died at 9:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at Vonderlieth Living
Center in Mount Pulaski.
There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield,
with Bill Shanle officiating.
There is no visitation. Holland and
Barry Funeral Home of Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wolcott was a homemaker for her
family. She had worked for Allis Chalmers and the Lincoln Christian
Nursing Home. She also owned and operated Nancy’s Play Pen.
She was born June 11, 1930, in Lincoln
to Luther and Nancy Garner Davis. She married Harry Lafe Wolcott on
June 18, 1955, at Buffalo. He died May 30, 1999.
Surviving are one son, Harry Randall
(and wife Angie) Wolcott of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Megan,
Dillon and Dayton Wolcott of Lincoln; four brothers, William Dupple
Davis of Stuttgartt, Ark., C.L. "Bus" Davis of Lincoln, Samual Davis
of Dawson and James Davis of Sullivan; and two sisters, Viola Yeazle
of Lincoln and Jean Goretski of Buffalo.
She was also preceded in death by one
brother, Dean Davis.
She was a member of Jefferson Street
Christian Church of Lincoln.

JoAnn Park
JoAnn Park, 67, of Lincoln died at 2:45
p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at Maple Ridge Health Care Centre.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday
at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev.
Dan Wissmann officiating. Visitation will be two hours before the
service.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery,
Lincoln.
She was an office worker and secretary
at Lincoln Developmental Center for 27 years.
She was born Aug. 27, 1935, in Dixon to
Charles and Gladye Frye Kerz. She married James William Joseph, and
he died Dec. 28, 1988. She then married Gary Park on Sept. 16, 1992,
in Lincoln. He survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Jim (and
Lorie) Joseph of Jacksonville, Fla., and Richard (and Rochelle)
Joseph of Lincoln; one stepson, Robert (and Leanne) Park of
Bloomington; one daughter, Lori (and Gary) Gredzieleski of
Springfield; eight grandchildren; and three sisters, Jean (and Don)
Aldag of East Peoria, Nancy (and Wayne) Jacquet of Byron and Pat
(and Gary) Carbough of Winnebago.
Mrs. Park was a member of Immanuel
Lutheran Church of Lincoln, American Legion Post 263 Auxiliary and
Disabled Veterans Auxiliary.

Dorothy Cash
Dorothy Zell Cash, 79, of Lincoln died
at 11:21 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at Memorial Medical Center in
Springfield.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Jefferson Street Christian Church in Lincoln, with Craig
Smith officiating. Another memorial service will be at the Lynkirk
Church of Christ in Austintown, Ohio, on Saturday, Oct. 26.
Interment will be at Kerr Cemetery in
Mineral Ridge, Ohio.
Mrs. Cash was primarily a mother and
homemaker. She also soldered wiring at the Packard Electric defense
plant in Warren, Ohio, during World War II, and she worked as a
missionary intern at a Native American children’s orphanage in
Ketchikan, Alaska.
She was born April 15, 1923, in Warren,
Ohio, to Paul and Ida Nunamaker Zell.
Surviving Mrs. Cash are three sons,
Thomas (and Coleeta) Cash of Martinsville, Ind., Lee Cash of
Austintown, Ohio, and Joel (and Mary) Cash of Worthington, Ohio; one
daughter, Paula (and Clare) Gramley of Lincoln; five grandchildren,
Amanda Cash of Seymour, Ind., Joshua Cash of Brownston, Ind.,
Rebecca Gramley of Lincoln, Thomas Gramley of Lincoln and Stephen
Cash of Worthington, Ohio; one great-grandson, Skylar Cash of
Brownstown, Ind.; and one sister, Marion Jocola of Howland, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by two sons,
Timothy Cash and Stephen Cash.
She was a member of Lynkirk Church of
Christ in Austintown, Ohio, and of Jefferson Street Christian Church
in Lincoln, where she was active with the 50-plus group. She was a
founder of the women’s retreat at Elkhorn Valley Christian Service
Camp in Bergholz, Ohio. She also edited the Village Voices
newsletter.
Memorials

Bible College and Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio.
