Rosa Wise
Rosa V.
Wise, 77, of Minier, formerly of Hartsburg, died at 12:55 a.m.
Monday, Sept. 23, at BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.
Her funeral
will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Quiram Funeral Home in Atlanta.
Norvin Condy will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the
service.
Burial will
be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
Mrs. Wise
worked several years at the Stetson China Company in Lincoln and
later at the Lincoln Bottle Factory.
She was
born Sept. 15, 1925, at Cora, Mo., to James W. and Minnie B. Dell
Seaman. She married John E. Wise on July 15, 1943, at Waynesville.
He died June 14, 1995.
Surviving
are four daughters, Ellen (and Jack) Steffens of Lincoln, Joan (and
Lloyd) Mollett of Weldon, Janet (and Mike) Cox of Lincoln and Kathy
(and Lee) Sheley of Lincoln; two sons, Steve Wise of Minier and
Scott (and Kay) Wise of Minier; 11 grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; and one brother, Glen Seaman of Terre Haute,
Ind.
She was
also preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
She was a
member of the Hartsburg Christian Church.
Memorial contributions may be
made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Margaret Davison
Margaret J. "Margie"
Davison, 73, of Middletown died at 7:35 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21,
2002, at St. John’s Hospital North in Springfield.
Visitation will be
from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln.
Her funeral will be
at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Middletown United Methodist Church, with
the Rev. Henry Cox officiating.
Burial will be in
Irish Grove Cemetery, Middletown.
Mrs. Davison was a
homemaker.
She was born May 29,
1929, in Lincoln to John and Ida Dady Loeffler. She married Raymond
E. Davison on Feb. 2, 1947, in Springfield. He died Dec. 27, 1990.
Surviving are one
daughter, Christine Haney of Middletown; three grandsons, Vance
Haney of Springfield, Mo., Todd Haney of Forest Grove, Ore., and
Anthony Haney of Heyworth; two sisters, Oma Yeates and Betty
Williams, both of Lincoln; and one brother, James (and Jean)
Loeffler of Quincy.
She was also preceded
in death by three sisters and five brothers.
She was a member of
Middletown United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to the church or to
Middletown Rescue Squad.

Evalena Hand
Evalena Hand, 87, of Illiopolis died at
6:36 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30
a.m. Wednesday at Dawson and Wikoff Funeral Home, 515 W. Wood St. in
Decatur.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday at Lake Bank Cemetery, Latham.
Mrs. Hand was a homemaker.
She was born Sept. 23, 1914, in DeWitt
to Carl and Martha Elmore Wilson. She married Floyd Meister, and he
preceded her in death. She later married Kenneth Hand, and he also
preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Alice (and
husband Les) Blakeman of Illiopolis, Edward (and wife Norma) Meister
of The Villages, Fla., Wanda (and husband Harold) Tendick of Mount
Pulaski, Carol (and husband Richard) Brock of Canadian, Texas, James
(and wife Becky) Meister of Bellevue, Neb., and Mary (and husband
Ron) Roher of Lexington; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren;
and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two
brothers.
She was a member of Illiopolis
Christian Church.
