Tim A. "Ando"
Anderson, 30, of Lincoln died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at 5:25 p.m.
at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be
from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln.
His funeral will be
at 2 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Street Christian Church in Lincoln,
with Bruce Parmenter and Gary Bussmann officiating.
A graveside service
will be conducted by John Davenport at Glen Cemetery, Paxton, at 11
a.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Anderson was an
addiction therapist at Heritage Behavior Center in Decatur. He was
ordained as a minister in 1994.
He was born July 11,
1972, in Gibson City to Clifford and Dorothy Burdette Anderson.
Surviving are his
parents, of Lincoln; one sister, Tonya (and Robert) Newsom of
Paxton; one niece, Randee Newsom of Paxton; and his maternal
grandparents, Russell and Helen Burdette of Ocala, Fla.
He was preceded in
death by his paternal grandparents.
He was a member of
Jefferson Street Christian Church in Lincoln and Paxton Christian
Church of Paxton.
Memorials may be made to the Jefferson
Street Christian Church children’s ministry, Lincoln Christian
College or Heritage Behavior Center, Decatur.

Edward Tate
Edward Tate, 80, of
Washington died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at 1:28 p.m. at St. Francis
Hospital in Peoria.
His funeral will be
at 2 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln,
with Donny Cash officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the
service.
Burial, with military
rites, will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Mr. Tate retired from
Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Peoria.
He was a veteran of
World War II.
He was born Sept. 3,
1922, in Elkhart to George and Sylvia Supinger Tate.
Surviving are a
foster daughter, Catherine Bennett of Washington; three foster
grandchildren; and several cousins, Jean Mellott Cypher of Lincoln,
John W. Tate of Pawnee, Donald W. Tate of Girard, Marjorie Chister
of Springfield, Peggy Lahmeyer of Springfield and Jack Leathers of
Stafford, Va.
He was preceded in
death by his parents and one brother, Arthur.
In his younger years
he was a stunt rider on airplanes. He was also a motorcycle
enthusiast.

Ruby Talley
Ruby Lee Talley, 78, of Waynesville
died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at 11:05 a.m. at her home.
Visitation was Friday evening at Quiram Funeral Home in Atlanta.
Her funeral was Saturday morning
at Quiram, with Dan Sherstad officiating.
Burial is in Evergreen Cemetery,
Waynesville.
Mrs. Talley was a homemaker.
She was born March 12, 1924, in
Williamson County, Tenn., to Henry and Florence King Pomeroy. She
married Amos Talley on May 9, 1946, at Franklin, Tenn. He survives.
Also surviving are six children,
Virginia (and David) Ryburn of Waynesville, Barbara Ann Smith of
Waynesville, William (and Lisa) Talley of Auburn, Amos (and Sharon)
Talley Jr. of Gridley, Earl (and Brenda) Talley of Fayetteville,
Ark., and Roma Joy (and Donald) McGowan of Bloomington; 16
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Pomeroy
of Gridley and Nelson Pomeroy of Peoria; one sister-in-law, Earleen
Pomeroy of Norwood Park; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, one brother and one granddaughter.
She was a member of the Waynesville
Christian Church.
Memorial

Everett Horney
Everett P. Horney, 83, of Lincoln died
Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at 7:25 at his home.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday
at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Patti L.
Meyer officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Burial, with military rites, will be in
Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
Mr. Horney was a security officer at
Lincoln Developmental Center before he retired.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War
II.
He was born March 15, 1919, in DeWitt
County to Guy and Rose Page Horney. He married Jennie Emmogene
Tompkins in Beason on Feb. 12, 1950. She died Jan. 17, 2002.
Surviving are an adopted daughter,
Patsy Stout of Lawndale; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Horney of
Middletown; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister,
Effie May Beard of Sterling; one brother, Elmer Ray (and Doris)
Horney of New Hampton, Iowa; and one brother-in-law, Edward (and
Doris) Tompkins of Mesquite, Nev.
He was also preceded in death by one
sister, one brother and one son, Kenneth.
He was a member of Lincoln Christian
Church, American Legion Post 263 and a past noble grand of Illinois
Odd Fellows Lincoln Lodge 204.
Memorials
may be made to the American Cancer Society or the building program
for the American Legion of Lincoln.

Clyde Price
Clyde K. Price, 83,
formerly of Nashville, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at 12:15 p.m.
at Maple Ridge Care Centre in Lincoln.
A memorial service
will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg,
with Pastor David Russell officiating.
Cremation rites have
been accorded. Kerrigan-Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge
of arrangements.
Mr. Price retired in
1970 after federal government employment at the U.S. Naval Ordinance
Laboratory in Silver Spring, Md.
He served in the U.S.
Army from 1936 until 1945 with Company B 44th Tank Battalion and
received numerous decorations.
He was born Aug. 17,
1919, in Luray, Va., to Frank W. and Bertha L. Dobsen Price. He
married Mildred J. Kotur in 1942 in Louisville, Ky.
Mr. Price is survived
by his wife, of Lincoln; one son, Mike (and Vivian) Price of
Lincoln; four granddaughters, Paula (and Craig) Conrady of New
Holland, Kristie (and Chad) Bartman of Danvers, Kelly Price of Ann
Arbor, Mich., and Katie Price of Lincoln; three great-grandchildren;
and one brother, Ray (and Florence) Price of Satsuma, Fla.
He was also preceded
in death by one son, four brothers and one sister.
In Nashville he was
an active member of the Knights of Columbus 4384, American Legion
Post 110 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post.
His hobbies included
golfing, fishing and woodworking.
