Robert Fitzsimmons
Visitation will be from 8:30 until 9:30
a.m. Saturday at Kerrigan-Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln, followed
by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Lincoln, with
Monsignor Richard Fitzsimmons officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Mr. Fitzsimmons worked as an accountant
for the state of Illinois before he retired.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He was born Aug. 20, 1921, in Lincoln
to Joseph and Marie Fahay Fitzsimmons.
Surviving are two brothers, Monsignor
Richard Fitzsimmons of Batavia and Thomas Fitzsimmons of
Springfield, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three
brothers.
He was a member of Holy Family Church.
Memorials may be made to Carroll
Catholic School in Lincoln.
