Ethel M. Coffey, 84, of Lincoln died
Sunday (June 1, 2003) at 2:07 a.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg, with the Rev.
David Russell officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at
the church.
Burial will be in Hartsburg Union
Cemetery.
Mrs. Coffey was a homemaker for her
family.

Florence Behrends
Florence Carolyn Behrends, 85, of
Easton died Saturday (May 31, 2003) at 6:10 a.m. at Memorial Medical
Center in Springfield.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church in Mason City, with the Rev.
Harold Woodworth officiating.
There is no visitation.
Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery.
Mrs. Behrends was a homemaker on the
family farm.
She was born July 14, 1917, at San Jose
to Jacob and Anna Jacobs Imig. She married Walter Behrends on Jan.
13, 1935, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Allen's Grove.
Surviving are her husband; three sons,
Joe Behrends of Champaign, Darwyn (and Roselyn) Behrends of Mason
City and Darrel (and Anna Marie) Behrends of Mason City; six
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five brothers, Floyd,
Hank and Walter Imig, all of San Jose, Paul Imig of Texas and Duane
Imig of Florida.
She was preceded in death by four
sisters, Vera Rabbe, Helen Dierker, Alice Ann Imig and an infant
sister.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran
Church in Mason City and the Ladies Aid.

Esta Stiltz
Esta Frances Stiltz, 85, of Easton died
Friday (May 30, 2003) at 11:25 a.m. at Havana Health Care Center in
Havana.
Her funeral was on Monday
morning at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City. Richard Stiltz officiated. Visitation
preceded the service.
Burial is in Easton Cemetery.
Mrs. Stiltz was a homemaker for her
family and helped on the farm.
She was born March 12, 1918, in
Chestnut to Charles and Bessie Gallaway Dietz. She married Raymond
Nelson Stiltz on July 25, 1936, in Jacksonville. He died Dec. 6,
2001.
Surviving are two sons, George (and
Linda) Stiltz of Havana and James C. (and Viola) Stiltz of Easton;
one daughter, Eunice (and Ed) Heinhorst of Forest City; 13
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elsie
Stiltz of Missouri.
She was also preceded in death by one
sister, three brothers and one grandchild.
She was a member of Easton Baptist
Church.

Betty Sunderland
Betty J. Sunderland, 80, of Lincoln
died Saturday (May 31, 2003) at 3:45 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor in
Lincoln.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, with Tom Gerdts officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Mrs. Sunderland worked as a secretary
at Lincoln Christian Church for 19 years before she retired.
She was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Fisher to
Merle and Clara Nelson Crooks.
Surviving are one son, Kent (and Jean)
Sunderland of Bloomington; two daughters, Janet Benedict of La
Grange and Lynn (and Marion) Conover of Joplin, Mo.; six
grandchildren; Yvonne Cawthorn of Chicago, Michelle Weber of La
Grange, Kimberly (and Wayne) Bushnell of Springfield, Mo., Angela
Conover of Joplin, Mo.; Nathan (and Liz) Sunderland of Columbus,
Miss., and Jenna Sunderland of Bloomington; three
great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Nathan and Madeline Bushnell, all of
Springfield, Mo.; and one brother, Delmar (and Phyllis) Crooks of
Fisher.
She was a member of Lincoln Christian
Church.

Montie Stufflebeam
Montie A. Stufflebeam,
82, of Easton died Friday (May 30, 2003) at 7:40 p.m. at St. John's
Hospital in Springfield.
Her funeral will be
at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hurley Funeral Home, 603 E. Chestnut in Mason
City. The Rev. Bruce Bolin-Ghitalla will officiate. Visitation will
be one hour before the service.
Burial will be in
Walker's Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Stufflebeam
worked at Caterpillar in Peoria and later for the Illinois State
Tree Nursery in Mason County.
She was born Aug. 14,
1920, in Green County, Ky., to John and Myrtle Patterson Bagby. She
married Herbert Stufflebeam on Oct. 1, 1940, in Palmyra, Mo. He died
Sept. 3, 1987.
Surviving are one
son, Jim Stufflebeam of Springfield; two grandchildren; one
great-grandchild; two brothers, Norman Bagby of Williamsville and
Howard Bagby of Mason City; and three sisters, Betty Sparks of Mason
City, Dixie Bergman of Lincoln and Pat Steveson of Mason City.
She was also preceded
in death by sisters and two brothers.
