William Conrady
William B. Conrady, 58, of Springfield
died Thursday (June 26, 2003) at 8:21 a.m. at work.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m.
Saturday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln and one hour
before the funeral service on Sunday afternoon at St. John's
Lutheran Church in Hartsburg. The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Don
Seibert and the Rev. David Russell will officiate.
Burial will be in Hartsburg Union
Cemetery.
Mr. Conrady was custodian at the First
United Methodist Church of Springfield.
He was born Sept. 6, 1944, in Lincoln
to Earl and Frances Schultz Conrady.
Survivors are his father; one daughter,
Brenda G. (and Jerry) Tibbs of rural Greenview; one brother, Rick
(and Mary) Conrady of Hartsburg; one sister, Kay (and John)
Proefrock of Hartsburg; two nieces, Monica and Ann Proefrock; and
one nephew, Dirk Conrady.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran
Church in Hartsburg.

Mary Dahman
Mary Ann Dahman, 74, of New Holland
died Wednesday (June 25, 2003) at 5:10 p.m. at Memorial Medical
Center in Springfield.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m.
Monday at Richmond Grove Cemetery, rural New Holland. Donnie Case
will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at
the cemetery.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dahman retired in 1977 from
Lincoln Developmental Center in Lincoln, where she worked as a
registered nurse.
She was born Feb. 6, 1929, in Chicago
and was raised in Cornell by Elmer and Edna Eutsey, her uncle and
aunt.
Survivors are four sons, Tom (and
Sheree) Dahman of New Holland, John Dahman of Collinsville, Steve
Dahman of New Holland and William Dahman of Lincoln; and eight
grandchildren.
She was a member of Jefferson Street
Christian Church in Lincoln.
She graduated from Cornell High School
and Wesleyan University, where she received her bachelor's degree in
nursing.

Lowell Hines
Lowell "Lefty" Hines, 92, of Lincoln died Tuesday (June 24, 2003) at
8:50 p.m. at the Christian Village.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader,
with Tom Gerdts officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Mount Auburn.
Mr. Hines retired from Ball-Incon after 28 years.
He
was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was born Jan. 18,
1911, in Maunie to Horace and Myrtle Berry Hines. He married E.
Madeline Montgomery on Oct. 18, 1941, in St. Joseph, Mo. She died
July 15, 1999.
Survivors are one
stepson, Neal Richard (and Trella) Young of Sun City Center, Fla.;
one grandson, Jerry Young of Springfield; one granddaughter, Terrie
Young of Silver Spring, Md.; one niece; and one nephew.
He was also preceded
in death by one brother and one sister. He was the last surviving
member of his immediate family.
He was a member of
Lincoln Christian Church, the Kitchen Class at the church and
American Legion Post 263.

Irwin Miller
Irwin Lee Miller, 62, of Lincoln died
last Saturday (June 21, 2003) at 7 p.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center
in Peoria.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m.
this Saturday (June 28) at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln, with the Rev.
Daniel Wissman officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the
service.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Mr. Miller retired from General
Telephone in Lincoln, where he worked as a switchman. He was owner
and operator of Country Archery.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was born July 26, 1940, in Lincoln
to Irwin A. and Helen Loercher Miller. He married Katherine Taylor
on June 25, 1966, in Springfield. She survives.
Other survivors are his mother, of
Lincoln; two sons, Irwin Todd Miller (and Katherine Bonan) of St.
Louis, Mo., and Nathan Miller (and Melissa) of New Holland; one
granddaughter, Natalie Katherine Miller of New Holland; a sister,
Joyce Winch of Rock Falls; four nephews, Paul Stanley Cobane of
Princeton, Scott Irwin Cobane of Las Vegas, Nev., Mathew DeRosier of
Montana and Tom DeRosier of Orlando, Fla.; a sister-in-law and
brother-in-law, Mary Jean and John DeRosier of St. Paul, Minn.; and
his mother-in-law, Dorothy Ade of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran
Church of Lincoln and Illinois Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He was one of the founders of Deer
Creek Archers, established in 1968, and served on the board of the
Illinois Archery Association. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed
hunting, bicycling, archery and golf.
He graduated from Broadwell Grade
School and Middletown High School and attended Southern Illinois
University in Carbondale.

tree memorial program.

Mary Goodrich
Mary F. Smith Parish
Goodrich, 78, of Kenney died Friday (June 27, 2003) at 2:02 a.m. at
the Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.
She was cremated.
Visitation will be
from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln. A service will follow at 7 p.m., with Ryan Edgecombe
officiating.
Mrs. Goodrich worked
in food service as a waitress and cook.
She was born Aug. 31,
1924, in Decatur to Floyd K. and Minda J. Hildabrand Smith. She
married Thomas T. Parish, and he preceded her in death. She married
Joseph Goodrich on Sept. 10, 1983, in Waynesville.
Survivors are her
husband, of Kenney; two sons, Clarence "Bud" (and Beverly) Parish of
Pana and Scott (and Rose Marie) Parish of Weldon; three daughters,
Kathy (and Dan) Senters of Waynesville, Maddie Quick of Decatur and
Chris Winkle of Clarksville, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren; 26
great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and four
sisters, Jean (and Ralph) Rineheart of Decatur, Diana Ward of
Clarksville, Tenn., Carol Gould of Seymour and Verginia Johnson of
Florida.
She was also preceded
in death by one daughter, Linda, and three brothers.

Donald Dorgan
Donald C. Dorgan, 84, of
Lincoln died Wednesday (June 25, 2003) at 4:55 p.m. at Maple Ridge
Care Centre.
Visitation will be at Kerrigan-Peasley
Funeral Home in Lincoln from 9 until 10 a.m. Monday.
His funeral will follow at 10
a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln, with Father
Thomas Taylor officiating.
A committal service will be at
2 p.m. Monday at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
In World War II, Mr. Dorgan
served in the U.S. Army 5th Armoured Division, 81st Tank Battalion.
He was born April 14, 1919, in
Middletown to Edwin and Paula Duginger. He married Irene Crawford on
Jan. 15, 1947, in Lincoln. She died Feb. 8, 1992, in Springfield.
Mr. Dorgan is survived by three
nieces, one nephew and one great-nephew.
He
was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and American Legion Post
263.

Daniel Ellis
Daniel Ellis, 50, of
Lincoln died Saturday (June 21, 2003) at 5:20 p.m. at his home.
Cremation rites were
accorded.
A memorial service
will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church, with Father
Jim Cravens officiating.
Interment will be at
the Trinity Episcopal Church columbarium.
Mr. Ellis was a cook
at the Lincoln Depot Restaurant. He also worked at the Village Inn
of Minier, J.C. Pour House in Lincoln and as manager of Domino's
Pizza in Lincoln.
He was born Jan. 23,
1953, in Lincoln.
His survivors are one
son, William Eric Spotswood Ellis of Great Lakes Naval Training
Center in Chicago; his mother, Kathryn Kolp Ellison of Lincoln; and
two half brothers, Robert Ellis of Indianapolis, Ind., and William
Ellis of Chicago.
He was preceded in
death by his father, William S. Ellis, and one daughter, Suzanne
Williams.
He was a member of
Lincoln Jaycees.
He graduated from Lincoln Community
High School.
