Chan Fuller
Chan Fuller, 72, of Lincoln died
Friday, March 7, 2003, at 5:55 a.m. at St. Clara's Nursing Home in
Lincoln.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m.
Monday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday at St. John United Church of Christ in Lincoln, with the
Rev. Richard Reinwald officiating.
Burial, with military rites, will be in
New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Col. Fuller was an auctioneer and
farmed in Logan County.
He served in the Korean War, at Pork
Chop Hill and Old Baldy, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He was born June 10, 1930, in Mason
City to Chan A. Sr. and Della Rauch Fuller. He married Mary Levi on
Oct. 25, 1953, in Lincoln. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Gregory
Chan Fuller (and Lisa) of Lincoln; one daughter, Gina Marie Fuller
Lockenvitz (and Jeff) of Normal; and four grandchildren, Sarah
Fuller of Lincoln and Michael, Mitchell and Thomas Lockenvitz of
Normal.
He was preceded in death by one
brother, Clifford Fuller.
He was a member of St. John United
Church of Christ, where he served on the council. He was also a
member of Logan County Farm Bureau. He was a past member of American
Legion Post 263 in Lincoln, VFW of Lincoln and Lincoln Rotary Club.
He had served on the board for Broadwell Grade School.
He was a 1948 graduate of Lincoln High
School and a graduate of Reisch School of Auctioneering in Mason
City, Iowa.
