Applications for Thanksgiving food assistance are being received by the Salvation Army at 1501 N. Kickapoo in Lincoln until Nov. 14. The Salvation Army is requiring that application be made in person. This is a change from previous years. The hours to apply are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Special arrangements will be made for those who are homebound.

In order to better serve clients, the Salvation Army is asking that they call (217) 732-7890 to set an appointment for the application interview.

Applicants must bring copies of photo IDs for all adults in the family, plus Social Security cards for all family members. Applicants will also need to show proofs of income and expense.
