In Logan County, there are over 80
volunteer leaders working with more than 300 4-H members. These
volunteers are among the more than 500,000 leaders nationwide who
each contributed about 220 hours of service last year.
The 4-H program, conducted locally by
University of Illinois Extension, is open to boys and girls ages
8-19, wherever they live. Clubs consist of five or more members and
have meetings six or more times per year. Programs are conducted in
the 3,150 counties of the United States, the District of Columbia
and six territories.
For more information on how you can
become involved and start your own 4-H club, contact the Logan
County Extension office at 732-8289.
The 4-H program is open to all youth
between the ages of 8 and 19, regardless of race, color, creed,
religion, national origin, sex or disability.
