Students at Washington-Monroe Elementary School had a visit from an Air Evac Lifeteam crew and their helicopter on Wednesday, during Career Week. Jack Owen, father of sixth-grader Jeff Owen, is part of the medical support team that rides with patients as they are transported by helicopter to the hospital.
All of the more than 300 students in the school had the opportunity to sit inside and get a close-up look at the specially equipped helicopter.
