'Susie' Harwood
Helen "Susie" F. Harwood, 69, of Lincoln died Tuesday (Oct. 21,
2003) at 2:30 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Marianna Taylor officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and
one hour before the service on Friday.
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Mrs. Harwood was a retired certified nurses aide. She had worked at
the Christian Village for 15 years.
She was born July 13, 1934, in Lincoln to David and Mary Emery
Allen. She married Herbert J. Harwood on March 18, 1967, in
Jacksonville.
Survivors are her husband, of Lincoln; three sons, Terry (and Ruby)
Allen of Lincoln, Scott Douglas Harwood of Mattoon and Donald Lloyd
Harwood of Lincoln; three stepgrandchildren; one brother, Harold
Allen of Cincinnati, Ohio; and one sister, Gertrude "Sally"
Kellenburger of Brookston, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David
Allen.
