“Book of Days” is set in the small town
of Dublin, Mo., where the owner of the local cheese plant is killed
one stormy night. Everyone accepts the story of a tragic hunting
accident except Ruth, the bookkeeper, who has her doubts. Nothing
will stop her from pursuing her one-woman crusade for justice. The
play is a moving quest that begins to find truth and honesty amid
small-town jealousies and lies.
The author, Lanford
Wilson, is a Pulitzer Prize and Obie winner. Frank Rich of the NY
Times calls him "a writer who illuminates the deepest dramas of
American life with poetry and compassion."
Lincoln College
instructor Jerry Dellinger directs the play.
