Gale Doty Sr.

Gale J. Doty Sr., 87, formerly of Middletown and Sebring, Fla., died Sunday (Oct. 26, 2003) at 5:53 p.m. at his son's home in Auburndale, Fla.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Zion Cemetery, Lincoln, with Tom Gerdts officiating.

Mr. Doty retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co., East Peoria, in 1973.

He was born Sept. 12, 1916, at Cornland to Elmer J. and Lenora A. Neer Doty. He married Harriet L. Adcox on March 27, 1937, at Old Berlin. She died Oct. 29, 1995.

Survivors are two sons, Gale J. (and Dixie) Doty Jr. of Auburndale, Fla., and Robert L. (and Rose) Doty of Springfield; one daughter, Cecilia Ann Ott of Lincoln; five grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Mary Alena "Daisy" O'Halloran of Welaco, Texas.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Elmer N. Doty, and one grandchild, Matt Ott.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Sebring, Fla.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society of the Alzheimer's Association.

Patricia Webster

Patricia A. Webster, 54, of Lincoln died Sunday (Oct. 26, 2003) at 11:12 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Her funeral was Thursday morning at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, with the Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating. Visitation was on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial is in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

She was an administrative assistant at Lincoln Developmental Center for 20 years.

She was born Nov. 1, 1948, in Lincoln to Lawrence and Joanne Arnold Hall.

Survivors are one daughter, Lisa Webster Young of Lincoln; one granddaughter, Meaghan Gleason of Lincoln; her father, Lawrence Hall of Decatur; her stepparents, Wilbur and Evelyn Baker of Lincoln; two brothers, Ronald (and Jean) Hall of Lincoln and Randy (and Nettie) Hall of Lincoln; one sister, Pamela S. (and Dean) Huston of Springfield; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joanne Baker; her stepmother, Virginia Hall; and one daughter.

She was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
