'Who's Who' honorees at Lincoln College   Send a link to a friend

[DEC. 14, 2005]  Eight Lincoln College sophomores from the area have been included in the 2005 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges."

Students named on the list include Daryl Anne Barr of Beason and Elizabeth Boyd, Sidney Comstock, Roberta Green, Amy Holmes, Amanda Perry, Jordan Tabb and Kelsey Washam, all of Lincoln.

Students are selected for their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for success. "Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges" has been published since 1966.

Lincoln College was founded in 1865 as Lincoln University, the only institution of higher education named for Abraham Lincoln during his lifetime. It is a selective, two-year, private liberal arts college located in Lincoln. Lincoln College is designed to prepare a student for university study through a structured, supportive approach to learning. Approximately 89 percent of Lincoln College graduates transfer immediately to a four-year school, where they succeed as well as or better than the native student. Student-teacher ratio at Lincoln College is 13-to-1, and the average class size is 16 students.
