Angels defeat Maranatha

The Angels of Lincoln Christian College, 3-5,
defeated the Crusaders of Maranatha Baptist Bible College, 2-6, by
the score of 68-49 at the Laughlin Center on Friday evening.

The Angels took the lead
at the 11-minute mark in the first half, 9-8, and never trailed
again, leading 31-24 at the half. Coach Amanda Bowman was pleased
with the "all-around good play of the team, and the fact that they
really made their inside presence felt throughout the entire game."
The Angels were led by Katie Geisler with 14 points and 10
rebounds, Jessica Fender with14 points and five boards, Bobbie
Larson's 11 points and Jessica Blythe's 10.
The Angels will now be on semester break until they play in the
Cookson Hills Classic on Jan. 5-7.
