SAN JOSE -- Karen Joy Barbour, 67, of San Jose died Sunday,
Dec. 18, 2005, at 8:25 p.m. at St. John's Hospital in
Springfield.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hurley
Funeral Home in San Jose. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday at the funeral home, with Jon Hamilton
officiating.
Mrs. Barbour had worked for the San Jose grocery store,
Peg's Corner and Casey's in San Jose. She previously worked
for the Better Coil and Transformer Company in Goodland,
Ind., for many years.
She was born May 7, 1938, in Lake Village, Ind., to
Robert and Thelma Cool Wilkie. She married Robert T. Barbour
on Feb. 10, 1967, in Lake Village.
She is survived by her husband, of San Jose; three sons,
Robert Bales of San Jose, Thomas (and Renae) Barbour of
Brookston, Ind., Matthew (and Melissa) Barbour of Creve
Coeur; one daughter, Dianna (and Joseph) Nolan of San Jose;
one granddaughter, Teage Nichole of San Jose; and two
grandsons, Brice and Andrew Barbour of Brookston, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son,
Michael Andrew Barbour.
She was a member of the San Jose Christian Church.
Memorials may be made to the San Jose Rescue Squad.

LINCOLN -- William F. Webster Jr., 90, of Lincoln, died
Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at 5:15 a.m. at the Christian Village
Nursing Home in Lincoln.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at
Holy Family Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. R. Anthony Lee
officiating.
No visitation is scheduled.
Burial, with military rites, will be in Holy Cross
Cemetery in Lincoln.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Webster retired from Cilco as a dispatcher.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was born July 20, 1915, in Lincoln to William F. and
Theresa Schmid Webster. He married Mildred Montgomery on
March 17, 1939. She died Oct. 25, 1993.
He is survived by his three children, Linda (and David)
Buchanan of Lincoln, Bill (and Barb Leacher) Webster of
Lincoln and Kathy (and Kenny) Robinson of Springfield; two
sisters, Gini (and Ed) Higgins of Lincoln and Clarice Rohrer
of Glendale, Ariz.; one brother, R.K. Webster of Austin,
Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in
Lincoln, a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus Council
1250 for 71 years and a 3rd degree knight, and a member of
American Legion Post 263.
He graduated from St. Mary's Grade School in 1929 and
from Lincoln High School in 1932.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation
or the Christian Village Nursing Home.
