The Redbirds, who finished the season ranked No. 22 in The Sports
Network Top 25 poll, ended the season with a 7-4 record and ranked
in both final polls for only the third time in school history.
ISU was one of four schools from the Gateway Football Conference
in the coaches top 25, joining national runner-up and No. 2-ranked
Northern Iowa, No. 7 Southern Illinois and No. 14 Youngstown State.
Western Kentucky received 13 votes and was ranked No. 29.
