The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.
Friends of The Oasis members receive a
bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

Maple
Ridge will sponsor bingo
Maple Ridge will sponsor bingo on
Thursday. The games will begin at 1 p.m. at The Oasis. Come join the
fun and win some prizes!
Tuesday
lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch on Feb. 8 will
feature meatloaf, au gratin potatoes, mixed vegetables, dessert and
a drink for only $3.75. Ticket purchase deadline is noon Monday.
Hearing
screening
The Oasis will have free hearing
checks by appointment between 10 a.m. and noon on Feb. 9. Call
732-6132 or 732-5844 for appointments.

Oasis
will be closed for presidents' birthdays
The senior center will close Friday,
Feb. 11, in observance of Lincoln's Birthday and Monday, Feb. 21,
for Washington's Birthday. Each time, activities will resume the
next business day at 9 a.m.
Winners
announced
Rita Horton was the big winner for
bunco in January.
Dolly Mears and Larry Van Bibber won
weekday pinochle. Weekend pinochle winners were Marjorie Reiners,
Betty Burger, Judy Morrow and Esther Will.
