LINCOLN -- William G. Hall, 81, of Lincoln died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at 8 a.m. at his home. He had cancer.

In accordance with his wishes, his body will be cremated.

There is no visitation.

Burial will be in Streator at a later date.

Mr. Hall retired from MII Industries in 1990 and was a 30-year employee of Anthony Co. in Streator before moving to Lincoln in 1974. He worked as a data processing manager both places.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He was born Oct. 21, 1923, at Streator to Charles and Sarah George Hall. He married Dorothy J. Plimmer on Nov. 24, 1946, at Streator.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years; one son, William E. Hall of Tempe, Ariz.; one daughter, Bonnie (and Tom) Nagle of Streator; one granddaughter, Melanie Bakalor of Ottawa; and one grandson, Tommy Nagle of Aurora, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Lori Ellen.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Streator.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who adored his little family, and his passing leaves a great empty place in our hearts.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Hospice Care and the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Illinois. Memorials may be sent to 720 N. Bond, Springfield, IL 62702-4915.

LINCOLN -- Mary L. Matson, 41, of Lincoln died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at 11:20 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Peasley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas W. Shaw officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service time.

Burial will be in Horse Creek Cemetery at Pawnee.

Mrs. Matson was a mental health technician at Lincoln Development Center and activities coordinator at St. Clara's Manor.

She was born Oct. 4, 1963, in Lincoln to George F. and Theresa Looney Cox. She married Bobby J. Matson on Aug. 6, 1992, in Lincoln.

She is survived by her husband; her mother and stepfather, Theresa and Gerald Buckly of Springfield; one son, Joseph Anderson of Lincoln; two stepdaughters, Fonda Dalton of Missouri and Alissa Terry of North Carolina; three brothers, George Michael Cox of Lincoln, James Gregory Cox of Las Vegas, Nev., and Charles Joseph Cox of Chatham; and two stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She graduated from Lincoln Community High School.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association.
