The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Computer
classes begin Jan. 10
Winter computer classes will begin
Jan. 10 at The Oasis. Computer Basics will run from 9:30 to 10:30
a.m. Jan. 10-14, and E-mail/Internet classes will run from 9:30 to
10:30 a.m. Jan. 24-28. Reservations are required. Call The Oasis,
732-6132 or 732-5844.
Tuesday
lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch on Jan. 4 will
feature meatloaf, mashed potatoes, salad, bread and butter, dessert
and a soft drink for only $3.75. Ticket purchase deadline is noon
Thursday.
Hearing
screening
Jan. 5 the senior center will have
free hearing checks by appointment between 10 a.m. and noon. Call
732-6132 or 732-5844 for appointments.
Maple
Ridge will sponsor bingo
Maple Ridge Care Centre will sponsor
the bingo games that begin at 1 p.m. Jan. 6 at The Oasis. Come join
the fun!

Glaucoma
screening
The Oasis is taking appointments for
free glaucoma screening. Appointments are available for Jan. 7
between 1 and 3 p.m. This free service is provided by Dr. Sandra
Pelfrey-Jones of Baller Eye Care.
Winners
announced
Dolly Mears and Christine March were
weekday winners for pinochle. Weekend pinochle winners were Helen
Cart and Les Van Bibber.
