Middletown American Legion Auxiliary and Middletown Fire/Rescue serve community   Send a link to a friend

[JAN. 5, 2005]  MIDDLETOWN -- On Dec. 18, Middletown 6 Gold Star American Legion Ladies Auxiliary served breakfast to the Middletown Volunteer Fire/Rescue Department as members of the department prepared fruit baskets for the elderly in the fire district. The Middletown department has distributed these baskets for many years and this year delivered a total of 80.

As the community greatly appreciates this good deed at the holidays, the American Legion Auxiliary wanted to return the favor in some way. Since the volunteers deliver the baskets regardless of the weather, a hot breakfast seemed to be a welcome gesture.

The auxiliary thanks Middletown Fire/Rescue not only for their generosity at the holidays, but their service to the community all year long.
