[MARCH 16, 2005]  Lincoln College fell to 1-6 in softball action Tuesday afternoon as the Lynx lost to Blackhawk 14-3 and 10-0. The Lynx will be in action against Kirkwood Wednesday to conclude their Florida trip.

Krystina Gomez, the starting pitcher for Lincoln College, was forced to leave the game in the second inning due to an ankle injury. "We are hoping it is not a fracture, and we are awaiting X-rays," Lincoln coach John Andrews said.

Kelly Nader suffered the loss in the first game, and Kathleen Fuller took the loss in the second game. Maleaha Hayward and Ashley Shaw each had two hits for Lincoln in the opener, while Jennifer Clemings, Chonita Ziegler and Tiffany Tungate each had one hit.

In the nightcap, Lincoln managed just four hits, two off the bat of Ziegler and one each from Hayward and Amber Stewart.
