[MARCH 23, 2004]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also is open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership. Friends of The Oasis members receive a bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and trips. For more information, call 732-6132 or 732-5844.

St. Clara's sponsors bingo

St. Clara's will sponsor the bingo games Thursday with snacks and prizes. The games begin at 1 p.m. Bring a friend and come join the fun!

Tuesday lunch features ham and beans

The 11:30 a.m. lunch on March 29 will feature ham and beans, coleslaw, corn bread and butter, dessert, and a drink for only $3.75. The cost is $3.25 if you stay and play cards. Ticket purchase deadline is noon Monday.

Spring card party tickets on sale

Tickets are available for the spring card party, which will be 1-4 p.m. April 9. The $5 tickets are available at the senior center and must be purchased by April 6. The price includes pinochle, bridge or rummy and refreshments. Come join the fun!

Card winners announced

Helen Opperman was the weekday winner for pinochle. Weekend pinochle winners were Ruth Ackerman and Helen Cart. Winners for five-in-one were Dorothy Oltmanns, Louise Wiebers and Henry Warnisher.
