Jean Anderson, regional superintendent of
schools for Logan-Mason-Menard counties, has announced her candidacy
for re-election for Region 38 superintendent. She says that she will
file nominating petitions on Dec. 12 for the March 21, 2006,
primary. "I thoroughly enjoy this position and am looking forward to
continuing in this role," Anderson said. Logan County Sheriff
Steve Nichols has also announced his intent to file for re-election.
