LINCOLN -- Paul E. "Stud" Harmon, 74, of Lincoln, formerly of Atlanta, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at 2:15 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at McLean Cemetery, McLean. The Rev. John L. Horner will officiate. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by Lincoln American Legion Logan Post 263.

There will be no visitation.

Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta, is handling arrangements.

Mr. Harmon was a truck driver working out of Teamsters Local 916, Springfield. He retired in 1993.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

He was born May 3, 1931, at Armington to Merle J. and Eva Carr Harmon. He married Madeline Van Hooser on Oct. 4, 1965, at Marshall.

He is survived by his wife; eight children, Tom Harmon of Georgia, James (and Dyann) Harmon of Mississippi, Diane (and Andy) Gerhart of Connecticut, Kenneth (and Betsy) Harmon of Connecticut, John Harmon of Mississippi, Karen Schaub of Lincoln, Julie Clenin of New York and Leonard (and Susan) Harmon of Lincoln; one sister, Ruth Ellen Harmon of Florida; one brother, Raymond Carl Harmon of Minier; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons.

He was a member of the Lincoln American Legion, Atlanta Masonic Lodge and the Teamsters union.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

LINCOLN -- Linda Louise Cooper, 65, of Venice, Fla., and Zionsville, Ind., formerly of Lincoln, died Nov. 18, 2005, in Venice, Fla.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln. The Rev. Linda Johnson of Zionsville United Methodist Church, Zionsville, Ind., will officiate. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

She was born July 21, 1940, in Lincoln to Wilbur E. and Louise Walker Layman.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband, Donald Cooper of Venice, Fla., and Zionsville, Ind.; two sons, Christopher Cooper of East Peoria and Scott Cooper of Parma, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and an aunt, Marjorie Schertz of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Zionsville, Ind.

She served as a trustee for Lincoln College.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Lincoln College Office of Advancement and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Matthew Kelly

LINCOLN -- Matthew Scott Kelly, 43, of Lincoln died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at 6:37 p.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. A service will follow at 7 p.m., with Pastor Mark Emerson in charge.

Mr. Kelly was a truck driver for Dolphin Carthage in Lincoln.

He was born on Aug. 24, 1962, to William and Rita Rohwedder Kelly in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He married Debbie Bridges Carter on Sept. 2, 2005, in Las Vegas, Nev.

Survivors include his wife, of Lincoln; his mother, of Chatham; his father and his stepmother, Kathleen Kelly, of Sherman; one son, Kylen Kelly of Lincoln; one daughter, Kiri Kelly of Lincoln; one brother, Michael (and Kim) Kelly of Aurora, Colo.; one sister, Lori Kelly of Auburn; and his paternal grandmother, Alberta Kelly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

He was a member of Salt Creek Chapter of ABATE.

Memorials may be made to the family or to a charity of the donor's choice.
